About Event

The Drupal Camp India will have different tracks, planned sessions, as well Code Sprint for the community. Drupal Camp India will take place in August 8-10, 2008 at the Dhirubhai Ambani Institute for Information and Communication Technology – Internationally recognized university at Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India.

The conference has many aims, including social networking, planning, conducting business, Job Board, sharing knowledge, and working on the Drupal project. We have identified some new goals for this particular Event

• To Build India as a Drupal Hub
• To Encourage Medium & Large organizations to become part of the community
• To spread awareness about Drupal benefits among the Students

Tracks and sessions

The conference will have three parallel tracks and each track will have eleven 40-minute sessions.

Developers & Contributors Track

Drupal’s popularity is primarily due to the ability to customize different websites by Drupal Developers and Professionals. This drupal camp aims to build a big platform for the Drupal Developers from all over the world and user experience contributors by providing a full track of sessions. The main aim for this track is to share different Marketing tools and strategy for open source businesses, Educate organizations about benefits of using Drupal as a platform through case studies, show cases & industry discussions. Beginners & Students Track

The Drupal community is constantly growing by different professionals as well students. This track will help students to get in depth knowledge about Drupal as well Open Source softwares. This track is the best way to learn the latest techniques in site development as well it covers the development and future of the Drupal technology that has united so many people. Drupal Code Sprint

There will be a Drupal code sprint on Sunday, August 10th, 2008 from 9.00 AM – 2.00 PM at the DA-IICT theatre. Attendees can expect a fun day working with your peers on Drupal 7, and making improvements to the Drupal project.

 On Monday, August 11, 2008 we will be providing networking opportunities for people in industries like education, NGO, news, media, and intranets. The event will take place at hotels and restaurants within walking distance of DA-IICT. These events are ideal to invite Non-Drupal based companies who wish to meet others who have investments based on the Drupal platform.
