Gandhinagar is a green city of Gujarat supporting a good growth of trees thus assuring a cooler climate. Apart from the monsoon season, the climate of Gandhinagar is normally dry. Winter season never falls here, it is mostly hot weather throughout the year except monsoon.

The maximum temperature in Gandhinagar stays in the range of 36°C (97°F) and 42°C (108°F), and the minimum in the range of 19°C (66°F) and 27°C (81°F). From November to February, the average maximum temperature is around 29°C (85°F), the average minimum is 14°C (57°F), and the climate is extremely dry. The number and letter roads intersect each other forming a grid; each block or square in the grid is given a sector number. Each intersection is marked by signal names such as CH1, CH2, CH3 or JA1,JA2.

AKSHARDHAM GANDHINAGAR

Akshardham Gandhinagar is one of the largest temples in the Indian state of Gujarat. The temple complex combines devotions, art, architecture, education, exhibitions and research at one place.
The garden which is named Sahajanand Van is a unique blend of contemplative garden and children's park. It encloses a single-piece marble sculpture of Lord Swaminarayan and includes cultural spots; rides and games for children; herbal garden; a lake and a waterfall.
ADALAJ STEP WELL
The Adalaj step-well is a popular tourist attraction of the city and is situated 9 km. south of Gandhinagar. The well was built in 1499 A.D. by Queen Rudabai. The step well or Vav, as it is called in Gujarati, is intricately carved and is several stories in depth. The designs on its walls and pillars include, leaves, flowers, birds, fish and other breathtaking ornamental designs. In the past, these step wells were frequented by travellers and caravans as stopovers along trade routes.
DEER PARK [ INDRODA PARK ]
Situated on the outskirts of Gandhinagar, Indroda Village Deer Park is an ideal place for nature lovers. The park provides home to many wild animals like jackal, wild boar, hare, porcupine, crusted honey bee buzzard and other kinds of mammals. A wide range of reptiles and birds are also found here.
The secretariat complex, positioned in the park, has architectural importance. The Sarita Udyan, located on the Sabarmati River, is the nearby attraction.
Camping facilities are available for the tourists. Nearest railhead is located within 5 km at Gandhinagar.
Gandhinagar is a capital city of Gujarat, so basically its very greeny, unpollutaed and clean city. Drupal Camp India will be organized in Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Gandhinagar from 8-10 August.
